Marine Notes...

Construction is being carried out at our All Tide ramp. It would pay to check prior to launching that access is available for both launching and recovery (work out what time you will want to use it). More info here as I get it.

The contestants in the Volvo yacht race are due to arrive in Auckland around the 8th of March. If you are going to be fishing the Waitamata, keep a sharp eye out for them. There are also inshore races scheduled up and down the harbour for these boys prior to departure, and courses have been set. As soon as I get more info, I will put up the dates and courses here.

There is marine construction work going on approx. 50 meters North of Fergussen container terminal. There is a "no Go" area from 50 meters North of the end of the wharfe back to the end of the wharfe. Please keep clear of the dredger, barges and these activities by at least 250 meters for safety reasons.

Further info may be obtained from either Coast guard or the harbourmaster.
